Job Summary:
St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures while adhering to radiation protection guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Properly identify patients and perform diagnostic radiographic services
- Demonstrate competency in Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Hospital Information Systems (HIS) modules
- Assist in gathering data for Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
- Provide educational information to patients regarding their examination
- Ensure quality of digital images sent to Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
Requirements:
Experience as a radiologic technologist is preferred, with ongoing training provided. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 3 months of hire. Computer usage experience is necessary.
Education and Licensure:
PA Candidate: Must be a graduate from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) recognized education program or registry eligible. Must pass registry within 1 year of hire date.
NJ Candidate:
- Graduate of an ARRT recognized School of Radiologic Technology
- Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- 1 year of experience preferred
- Current state license (NJDEP) and appropriate registry (ARRT) required
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Frequent use of fingers and hands, walking or standing for up to 8 hours per shift, lifting patients with assistance, bending and lifting objects, reaching and hearing as it relates to normal conversation, and normal vision.
