Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex imaging exams in assigned modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, and Interventional Radiology.

Responsibilities
  • Administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic exams, use of radiofrequencies, and/or multi-frequency sound waves for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.
  • Acquire and analyze data needed for diagnosis, interpretation, and the performance of imaging exams and procedures at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
  • Prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.
  • Be flexible in job assignments, willing and able to learn new skills, and maintain annual competencies in all assigned modalities.
  • Contribute to patient care across multiple modalities within scheduled shifts and/or maintain active placement on more than one modality schedule during each pay period.
Requirements
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT(S) or RDMS or CCI or RDCS or RVT certification.
  • At least one of the following specialty certifications: MRI, CT, PET, ARDMS or CCI or RDCS or RVT-specialty certification, VI or CI or CCI, Mammo.
