Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technician to join our team at Centstone. As an MRI Technician, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients on the examining table and place specified coils close to the area of interest, following protocols requested by radiologists.
  • Demonstrate the use of microphones that allow patients and technologists to communicate during examinations.
  • Enter data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry into aperture of MRI equipment into the computer.
  • Key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers into the computer.
  • Observe patients through the window of the control room and on closed-circuit TV to monitor safety and comfort.
  • View images of areas being scanned on video display screens to ensure quality of pictures.
  • Key in data on the keyboard of the camera to photograph images.
  • Alert staff entering the magnet room to the danger of wearing or carrying metal around the magnet.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience as an MRI Technician.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
  • NJ State RT License.
  • MR Certified.
  • BLS Certification.
