Role Overview

The Practice Manager will lead the General Surgery and Bariatrics departments, which consist of a team of nine providers and twelve support staff members. This position is pivotal in ensuring efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor office support personnel to optimize patient flow and serve as a key liaison between medical professionals and clinical staff.
  • Oversee all aspects of business and clinic operations at the designated site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage the authorization process for all services, ensuring accurate charge entry and maximizing reimbursement opportunities.
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and performance improvement.
  • Develop and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing physician education, process efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
  • Analyze monthly performance reports and recommend strategies for revenue cycle enhancements.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns in collaboration with medical staff, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Organize and lead regular staff meetings to promote communication and teamwork.
  • Provide operational support as needed, including clinical skill validation within the practice.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a customer service or healthcare environment is required.
  • Relevant healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems is advantageous.
