Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist V-Mammo/CT 32 hours at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. You will operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality of patient care. Your expertise will be essential in performing specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures, preparing and positioning patients for imaging, and adjusting equipment controls to produce accurate images.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including CT and mammography scans.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Adjust equipment controls to produce high-quality images, taking into account patient size, weight, and body part.
  • Operate mobile radiologic equipment in various settings, including operating rooms and patient bedsides.
  • Assist radiologists and other qualified physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
  • Process and review images for quality control, ensuring accurate identification and documentation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Orient new hires and train students in radiologic procedures and equipment operation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in two specialties (CT and/or mammography) or one year of experience in each specialty with ARRT certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California) and Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) required.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information to individuals and groups with varying knowledge of radiology services.
