Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations and assisting radiologists in the interpretation of images. This role offers a unique opportunity for cross-training in Computed Tomography (CT) and provides a dynamic learning environment for individuals eager to advance their careers in radiology.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT scans, to obtain high-quality images.
  2. Prepare patients for imaging examinations, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  3. Operate radiographic equipment, adjusting settings to optimize image quality.
  4. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures.
  5. Participate in quality assurance activities to uphold imaging standards and safety protocols.
  6. Undergo comprehensive training in Computed Tomography to become proficient in CT imaging techniques.
  7. Collaborate with radiologists to interpret CT images and provide diagnostic information.
  8. Stay up-to-date on advancements in radiology technology and best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist (from the state where work is being performed).
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy certification within 180 days of hire (if required at the affiliate).
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience in diagnostic radiology.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems.
Working Conditions

This role requires:

  • Varied shift hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Rotating weekends.
  • 8-hour shifts.
