About This Position

In line with French Hospital Medical Center's healthcare philosophy, the Radiologic Technologist III performs all radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a technical level that does not require supervision to technical detail.

The incumbent performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assumes responsibility for specific radiographic procedures, angiography, or cardiac cath procedures, CT or MRI procedures, and/or mammography procedures.
  • Must be able to run the floor in the absence of the Radiology Supervisor, including staff scheduling and assignments, ordering supplies, supervising students and volunteers, decision-making, and counseling.
  • Must be working and scheduled in all three areas of radiology.
Requirements
  • Two modalities with 15 years or more experience at Tech II level.
  • Demonstrates competence in all routine fluoroscopic and surgical x-ray procedures or five years experience and certified or trained in two other modalities (CT, MRI, US, Mammo, NM, Angio, Cardiac Cath).
  • Demonstrates ability to fill supervisory role in the absence of diagnostic supervisor.
  • A.A. Degree preferred.
  • Must possess a valid California CRT license with fluoroscopy certificate. ARRT second and third modality.
