Join Our Urology Associates Team as a Prostate Cancer Care Nurse Navigator

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nurse Navigator to enhance our urology department. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with evaluating, planning, and overseeing the care of patients diagnosed with prostate cancer. Your collaboration with patients and their families will be essential in providing tailored referrals and educating them about treatment pathways and available resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine care protocols for prostate cancer management
  • Act as the main point of contact for all patients undergoing prostate cancer treatment
  • Provide comprehensive education regarding diagnosis, treatment alternatives, and support resources
  • Facilitate partnerships with community support groups
  • Assist patients with necessary enrollment documentation for therapies
  • Coordinate and oversee Provenge therapy administration
  • Monitor patient progress to ensure they receive optimal care
  • Serve as a bridge between patients and healthcare professionals
  • Offer support to patients and families during critical decision-making phases
  • Organize appointments for additional support services
  • Identify and mitigate barriers to effective care

Educational Background and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minimum of 3 years of experience in oncology or urology
  • Valid RN license

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong clinical expertise and organizational capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
