About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work as a Physician Assistant in a Radiology Nuclear Medicine setting. As a locum tenens provider, you will have the flexibility to choose from a variety of assignments and schedules that fit your needs.


Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
  2. Conduct patient histories and physical examinations.
  3. Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  4. Develop and implement treatment plans.
  5. Prescribe medications.
  6. Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising physician.
  7. Educate and counsel patients on preventative care and health management.
  8. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  9. Document medical records accurately and thoroughly.
  10. Stay current on advancements in medicine through continuing education.


Requirements:

  • Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program.
  • Active and unencumbered PA license in California.
  • National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • At least one year of clinical experience in Radiology Nuclear Medicine.
