About the Role

The Senior Process Optimization Expert develops and documents manufacturing techniques, materials, tools, and processes related to back-end semiconductor assembly. This role performs analyses and selects techniques to solve problems and enhance product yield and process flows.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish high-yielding, cost-effective processes based on product needs and customer requirements.
  2. Maintain knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
  3. Develop and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization using statistical analysis software like JUMP, Minitab, or Excel Statistics.
  4. Evaluate and validate process and design alternatives based on product manufacturability.
  5. Understand principles of cost of goods sold and develop process improvements to increase cost-effectiveness.
  6. Maintain positive communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

This position may serve as a member on cross-functional project teams. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in semiconductors. They should be knowledgeable about MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001, and EIA/JEDEC standards.
