Special Education Teacher Opportunity

BASIS Ed, a leading educational organization, seeks a highly skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Job Description:

  • Collaborate with students with disabilities in small group settings or one-on-one environments to meet individualized education program (IEP) requirements.
  • Interact directly with assigned students to fulfill IEP provisions and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
  • Provide specially designed instruction, academic support, and case management services for students with disabilities, including coordination of ARD meetings and parent communication.
  • Ensure the availability of a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) for students with disabilities, collaborating with general education teachers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation associated with IEPs, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of student progress information.
  • Supervise related service providers to coordinate service schedules, IEP meetings, and regular communication.
  • Develop a working knowledge of general education curriculum to adapt content for eligible students with disabilities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or satisfactory applicable state background check.
  • Current special education certificate valid in relevant jurisdiction.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in special education or related subject matter.
  • Master's degree in special education or related subject matter.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in special education.
  • CPI / EC-12 Special Education Teaching Certificate.
