Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Technical Staff Engineer - Design (ASIC) to join our rapidly growing Data Center Solutions (DCS) business unit at Microchip. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge storage controller SOC products, taking a design from initial concept to production form. You will work alongside experienced engineers and be exposed to Microchip's Best-In-Class engineering practices.
Responsibilities- Perform RTL design of IP and SoC sub-systems, as well as integration into SoCs, by working with cross-functional teams globally.
- Micro-architect and implement Hardware security design flow.
- Pre-silicon verification support and debug.
- Emulation and debugging support of the IP and solution.
- Post-silicon integration, bring-up, and validation.
- Learning and dynamically applying knowledge of the SoC, protocols and standards.
- Effectively presenting technical information to small teams of engineers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent 12+ years related experience.
- Has worked on RTL Design (IC and multicore SoC designs) from concept to physical layout.
- Experience with security designs and concepts (e.g. cryptography, Side-channel analysis and security certifications)
- Experience with protocols and interfaces is an asset (PCIe, NVME, SAS, DDR)
- Experience with Verilog/System Verilog and/or VHDL is required.
- Experience with the ASIC design and/or verification flow is required.
- Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and documentation skills.
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
