Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

This position is responsible for developing demand in the marketplace by creating new and maintaining current customers. The successful candidate will provide training sessions regarding Hyundai products and project management for primarily the Design, Kitchen & Bath Studios, and Fabricator customers and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall sales of the defined territory
  • Presents and sells company products and services to current and potential clients within the remodel, home improvement, cabinet makers, builders, and assigned fabrication base
  • Prepares action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
  • Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
  • Develops and implements special sales activities to reduce stock
  • Develops and maintains sales materials and current product knowledge
  • Develops and promotes brand awareness with all potential customers within assigned territory
  • Develops business plans for territory of all customer segments
  • Establishes and maintains current client and potential client relationships by networking and participating in trade shows or related organizations
  • Gathers market intelligence and provides data to Marketing Team
  • Identifies new customers and sets them up with initial retail package including samples, displays, and collateral based on qualification, marketing visibility and/or sales volume
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding quotes
  • Increases market share by elevating the number of displays and point-of-purchase materials within assigned territory
  • Keeps current customers informed and trained on new and existing products and programs
  • Identifies and resolves any client concerns and maintains key relationships with customers
  • Manages account services through quality checks and other follow-up
  • Manages Customer relationship: expectations, needs, concerns, etc., in order to encourage the consumption and sale of new products.
  • Assists with trade show set-up, customer entertainment events, and other promotional activities as needed
  • Attends Industry related events regularly, builds relationships, and reports back with recaps and productive feedback
  • Delivers marketing materials assigned to the client according to their value (segmentation)
  • Engages actively in the opportunities offered by the organization of activities, events and other resources offered by the Center in collaboration with those responsible for Trade marketing
  • Ensures customers have adequate marketing materials to support sales, including samples, brochure, and other collateral supplies in all locations
  • Maximizes the use of these facilities as exhibitions of the Hyundai products
  • Promotes Hyundai core products within the geographic area
  • Prepares status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
  • Prepares and provides training to customers
  • Prepares presentations, proposals and sales tools
  • Generates self-led sales
  • Maintains CRM tool
  • Visits retail customers and supports generating sales through building key relationships

Requirements:

  • Proven prior experience achieving goals, executing strategic plans, gaining market share, in the same or similar industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred
  • At least 3 years minimum experience within the region for sales of solid surface and quartz
  • Experience with working with Fabrication/Installation, kitchen dealers/remodelers
  • Valid driver license with clean driving record
  • Other relevant experience will be considered

Physical Requirements:

The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Requires ability to safely operate an automobile.

Work Environment:

  • Job requires driving company vehicle 80% of time to customers within territory
  • Some overnight travel may be required depending on business needs
