About the Position

First Internet Bank is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Consumer and Business Lending team as a Finance Intern. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a business setting and develop a deeper understanding of the Consumer and Business Banking field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with projects and process implementation by working on initiatives assigned to Consumer and Business Banking.
  • Train on each role within the Consumer and Business Banking team to gain a working knowledge of each responsibility.
  • Review and investigate manual processes to determine if automation or alternative methods are available.
  • Assist with procedure review and updating.
  • Gain a working knowledge of the department to assist with providing quality service to internal and external clients of the bank.
  • Verify newly opened consumer and business account applications.
  • Review Consumer and Business account applications that are in Review and Rejected status on a daily basis.
  • Lend assistance with title reports, which involves research on missing titles and follow-ups with customers and dealers.
  • Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.
Requirements
  • Current Sophomore or Junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Excellent organization and data management skills.
  • Excel Spreadsheet and Microsoft Word skills.
  • Superb communication skills.
  • Desire to work in operations management or the financial field.
Working Conditions
  • Professional office setting.
  • Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
  • Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
