Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer (CAN/LAN) to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Digital Modernization Sector, you will play a critical role in designing, engineering, and transitioning global enterprise networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network solutions that meet the needs of our clients, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network architectures, including campus area networks and local area networks.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, bill of materials, and configurations.
  • Provide technical expertise to operations engineers and technicians, supporting fault isolation and resolution.
  • Supervise network support specialists to plan, coordinate, and implement network services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, applying knowledge to improve network designs and operations.

Requirements:

  • TS SCI with Poly clearance
  • 10 years of experience in network engineering, including Tier III or higher network operations and/or network design and implementation
  • Experience with Cisco, Brocade, and/or Juniper network hardware configurations
  • Hands-on experience with standard routing protocols, such as OSPF and BGP
  • Hands-on experience with standard switching and trunking protocols, such as VLANs and 802.1q

Desired Qualifications:

  • Network engineering and design experience specific to CAN/LAN, including application of industry standards and integration of solutions into production environments
  • Experience with MPLS WANs, network management tools, and firewalls
  • Expert knowledge of routing and switching protocols, with the ability to demonstrate knowledge through briefings and documentation
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent knowledge
