Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of global enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, design, and implementation, with experience in campus area networks (CAN) and local area networks (LAN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network architectures for CAN and LAN environments, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, bill of materials, and configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on critical data flows.
  • Provide technical expertise to Operations engineers and technicians, supporting fault isolation and resolution.
  • Develop and improve design products, processes, and systems for efficient and effective network operations.
Requirements
  • TS SCI CI Poly clearance
  • 16 years of experience in network engineering, design, and implementation, with a combination of work history and education
  • Compliance with DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 (Security+ CE)
  • Experience with network operations and design, including Tier III or higher network operations and/or network design and implementation
  • Prior responsibility for production network hardware configurations for Cisco, Brocade, and/or Juniper
  • Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting standard routing protocols in a production network, such as OSPF or BGP
  • Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting standard switching and trunking protocols in a production network, such as VLANs, 802.1q, and port-channels
Desired Qualifications
  • Network engineering and design experience specific to CAN and LAN, with application of industry standards and integration of solutions into production environments
  • Network engineering and design experience with MPLS WANs, network management tools, and firewalls
  • Expert knowledge of routing and switching protocols, with ability to demonstrate knowledge through briefings and documentation
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent knowledge
  • Initiative and discipline to work unsupervised as part of a network engineering team, with experience establishing process, developing documents, and organizing repositories
