  • PSYC 3250, Psychology of Gender & Sexuality
  • PSYC 3350, Industrial-Organizational Psychology
  • PSYC 3400, Psychological Testing
  • PSYC 3450, Multicultural Psychology
  • PSYC 3650, Health Psychology
  • PSYC 3800, Perception
  • PSYC 3900, Thinking & Language

As an adjunct faculty member, instructors are engaged on a term-by-term basis without a guarantee of ongoing employment. The adjunct instructor will cater to a diverse student body. Course scheduling is determined by the academic department, and instructors will be informed of course timings prior to contract issuance. Flexibility in scheduling may be possible in certain cases. The following duties outline the minimum expectations for all faculty:

  • Utilize the NP syllabus template, approved textbooks, and supplementary materials via Canvas LMS.
  • Submit a personalized course syllabus to the dean electronically one week before the course begins.
  • Adhere to the established course schedule regarding meeting times and locations.
  • While formal office hours are not mandated, availability to students outside of class via email and appointments is expected.
  • Ensure timely grading and return of all assessments to students.
  • Mid-term grades must be submitted for traditional undergraduate courses.
  • Final grades and all course obligations must be completed by the deadline set by the Registrar each term.

Attendance Documentation: North Park University is required to verify attendance for financial aid purposes, necessitating faculty to document the last date a student engaged in academically related activities, including class attendance and exam participation.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of North Park University's mission in Christian higher education.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Canvas or similar learning management systems.
  • Previous teaching experience at the university level.
