As a vital member of the plant leadership team, this position is supported by various departments including Plant Management, Human Resources, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, and Finance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure seamless coordination of the entire production process, encompassing receiving, material handling, manufacturing, and shipping, while maintaining safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead by example, promoting transparent communication and cultivating a results-driven culture characterized by integrity, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Develop and nurture cross-functional teams that are engaged and structured to adapt to customer demand fluctuations and expedite processes effectively.
  • Act as a leader on the production floor, overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure that key performance indicators and production goals are consistently met or surpassed.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to implement robust quality-control programs that achieve high levels of first-time accuracy and material yield.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through effective change management processes and the adoption of best practices.

• Focus on addressing daily operational priorities while strategically planning and executing long-term improvement projects.

• Leverage the maintenance team to enhance equipment setup efficiency and ensure the availability of necessary change parts and spares.

• Utilize the warehouse team to efficiently manage incoming and outgoing shipments, fully supporting production-related activities such as picking, staging, and reconciliation.

  • Collaborate with management to implement company policies and objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and track improvements in the reduction of planned production hours.
  • Coordinate the establishment and implementation of standard operating procedures for all production activities.
  • Guarantee complete compliance with established processes.
  • Assess the competencies of team members and provide necessary leadership and development to achieve organizational objectives.
Leadership Duties:
  • Direct and manage the daily activities of supervisors and lead personnel, providing guidance to indirect associates, including material handlers, process leads, and maintenance technicians as required.
  • Oversee production shift leaders across multiple shifts throughout the week.
  • This role requires a hands-on approach with significant time spent in the production area.
  • Actively engage as a member of the Plant Leadership Team.
  • Manage supervisory responsibilities in alignment with organizational policies and applicable regulations, including recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited institution; an MBA is a plus.
10+ years of progressive operations experience, encompassing Production, Warehouse, and Maintenance functions.
Experience in an FDA-regulated industry is essential, with a minimum of 3 years in Manufacturing/Engineering roles within the cosmetic, personal care, or OTC sectors, particularly in contract manufacturing.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
