Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Contact Center Representative to join our team at Whatcom Educational Credit Union (WECU). As a Contact Center Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, answering their inquiries, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide top-notch customer service, treating each member with warmth, courtesy, and respect.
- Cross-sell additional services to members and make a personal effort to make them feel valued and important to the credit union.
- Employ sound judgment, maintain knowledge of internal and external policies and procedures, and adhere to all applicable regulations.
- Respond to members' basic inquiries regarding account operations, access to services, account usage charges, interest rates on savings and loan products, and resolve account discrepancies.
- Assist members in making the most effective use of services offered by WECU.
- Execute basic member communication through email, DocuSign, and mail within established guidelines.
- Provide basic support for members needing assistance with online banking, mobile banking, and bill pay.
- May assist in the training of new Contact Center Representatives as a mentor.
- Interview members to obtain information and explain available financial services, such as savings and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, and Certificates of Deposit.
- Refer members for other WECU financial services to ensure member satisfaction and meet increased referral goals.
- Assist in sales and member service promotional efforts.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus 3-12 months' related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant training in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution is preferred but not required.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
The salary range for this position is from $20.74 to $26.19 per hour.
