Your Role:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with fellow accountants, project analysts, and the Chief Financial Officer. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with all financial administration and risk management processes. You will develop a financial and operational strategy, establish metrics aligned with that strategy, and continuously monitor control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage internal financial controls and compliance as established by the CFO.
- Prepare fiscal reports and documentation, including monthly and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the monthly close process, including program billings, payroll, and budget variance analysis.
- Lead the development of Indirect Rates and manage the annual reporting and reconciliation of Incurred Cost Submission.
- Develop strategies to enhance funding for initiatives.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting, directing all financial and departmental accounting.
- Ensure financial transactions comply with all applicable guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and relevant regulations.
- Support audits and prepare necessary documentation for approval and submission.
- Develop and review finance-related procedures, recommending improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
- Over 7 years of comprehensive financial analysis and accounting experience, particularly in government contracting.
- Proven experience in managing finance accounting, budgeting, control, audit, compliance, and reporting in complex environments.
- Expertise in working with Federal grants and contracts.
Preferred Skills:
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Management experience of 3+ years.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Costpoint Financial System Software.
- Extensive experience with government contractors.
