Job Description

Panthalassa is a public benefit corporation that aims to provide abundant and affordable clean energy for everyone. We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our high volume manufacturing team.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Systems will be responsible for transitioning node designs into volume manufacturing. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective project management.

You will spend hands-on time with local fabrication partners, provide DFM input to the node engineering team, help shape node design, and drive development of pilot manufacturing processes and equipment.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $150,000 - $250,000 per year, plus equity in the company and a comprehensive benefits package.

The benefits package includes flexible paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, disability insurance, and the ability to contribute to tax-advantaged accounts.

Relocation assistance is also available to facilitate your move to Portland.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years experience as a hands-on mechanical/manufacturing/design engineer working on mechanical and/or electromechanical systems
  • Strong foundation in mechanical design fundamentals, solid mechanics, material selection, prototyping, testing methods, and fabrication processes

You will also need to be comfortable with broad scope definition and to-be-defined requirements, able to effect change based on data, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
