Field Program Supervisor

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Program Supervisor to lead our seed certification activities from our office in Pullman, Washington. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing field inspection and re-inspection reports, coordinating field inspections, and supervising seasonal field inspectors. You will also develop and implement a training program for inspectors, both classroom and in-field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and approve applications for seed certification
- Oversee field inspection and re-inspection reports
- Coordinate field inspections and supervise seasonal field inspectors
- Develop and implement a training program for inspectors
- Interact closely with company management and staff to enhance collaboration and teamwork
- Build a strong network in the seed industry and represent WSCIA at conferences and company events
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in agronomy/crop sciences or related discipline
- Highly skilled in using and learning word processing, spreadsheet, mapping, and database programs
- Demonstrated focus and competence in organizing and prioritizing multiple workloads, meeting deadlines, and exercising adaptability to changing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively, including public speaking, written documents, and verbal discussion
- Must possess the ability to learn technical certification programs and requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of seed production in Washington State with 5+ years of experience in agronomy, seed production, or relevant agriculture industry
- Personnel management experience with skill to lead teams of remote seasonal employees
- Strong working knowledge of performance and operations management
