Job Summary

Metro Parks Tacoma is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hospital Assistant to join our team. As a Hospital Assistant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our veterinary hospital, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect counters, floors, tools, and equipment to maintain a sterile environment
  • Restock supplies and organize storage areas to ensure efficient workflow
  • Wash, dry, and fold laundry to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Assist with other hospital maintenance duties as assigned, including following proper safety measures and procedures when using chemicals and cleaning supplies
Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must have a meticulous attention to detail and be well-organized
  • Must be able to take verbal and written direction well and work independently with minimal supervision
Work Environment

This position is an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to fumes, dust, pollen, and noise from equipment operation. You will be required to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds, bend at the waist, squat, stoop, and stand and walk for extended periods of time.
