Service Department Director

Absco Solutions, a leading provider of facility vulnerability expertise, is seeking a highly skilled Service Department Director to oversee the performance and accountability of our Service Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic leadership and management to field operations, ensuring seamless communication between departments and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Collaborate with the Operations team to develop and implement project management processes, ensuring timely completion of projects and effective resource allocation.
- Service Scope Management: Manage service scopes, approval, timeline, and changes for the duration of service projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate communication between internal and external teams, including sales, administration, design, and customers, to ensure effective implementation and completion of service projects.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and track the performance of assigned initiatives and personnel, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure continuous improvement.
- Operations Budget Management: Manage the Service operations budget, coordinating project items for sub-contractors, per-diem, materials, and labor.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning meetings, providing input on corporate strategy affecting the Service Department, P&Ls, profitability, and other relevant topics.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that work completed meets manufacturer requirements, code requirements, product limitations, and customer needs.
- Customer Relations: Support customer relations, responding promptly to customer inquiries to resolve planning and operational issues.
- Central Station Monitoring: Oversee all central station monitoring and UL2050 accounts.
- Experience: Three or more years of experience in low voltage electrical, with one or more years of Service or Project Management experience.
- Education: High School diploma/GED required.
- Skills: Budgeting and business analysis experience, with the ability to provide reporting and financial presentations. Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record, pursuant to Absco Solutions' driver insurability requirements. Ability to pass background checks.
- Certifications: Current or former EL06 and/or NICET II certification preferred. Knowledge of proper installation and capabilities of low voltage security and fire/life safety systems preferred.
- Competitive Compensation: Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and skill-level, with a range of $95-110K per year.
