Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic individual to spearhead our sales team, driving growth in the personal care sector to achieve both short-term and long-term sales and profitability objectives aligned with our annual financial plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture a high-performing sales team.
  • Oversee 1-2 key strategic accounts as necessary.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management to establish pricing and product strategies across market segments.
  • Support the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Demand Management Review (DMR) processes to ensure that product demand is met effectively.
  • Identify market trends and customer requirements that necessitate new product or application development, serving as a vital link with Product Management, Global and Regional Marketing, and R&D.
  • Exemplify and uphold Nouryon's Safety and Code of Conduct principles both internally and externally.
  • Achieve annual budget targets in line with regional goals, maintaining a robust opportunity pipeline to meet growth expectations.
  • Engage in precise planning (forecasting, budgeting) for the market segment, meeting accuracy targets.
  • Drive pricing strategies with the commercial team to enhance volume and profitability.
  • Implement regional and global account management practices, mentoring the team in developing high-quality account plans and ensuring their execution.
  • Foster strategic relationships with key accounts within the region, ensuring engagement at various organizational levels.
  • Spot opportunities for innovation and product development, effectively communicating trends, opportunities, and risks to the sales director.
  • In partnership with Technical, Product, and Marketing teams, define the product portfolio and value propositions that align with market and customer needs.
  • Lead the successful launch and adoption of new products and value propositions.
  • Manage performance and career development planning for team members in accordance with HR guidelines.
  • Achieve target overdue percentages for the market segment.
  • Meet budgetary targets for travel and entertainment expenses.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in sales or marketing, with a preference for a sales-focused career trajectory.
  • Strong financial acumen and business insight.
  • Experience in leading and managing virtual teams.
  • Prior experience in the personal care industry is highly desirable.
  • Able to navigate diverse regional and global cultures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with commercial tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Arkieva, CRM, and Power BI.
Additional Information:

This role is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Sales Manager of H&PC Specialties.
