Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at Hellman & Associates, Inc. as an Environmental Health and Safety Consultant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regulatory and compliance technical support to clients in various industries, including manufacturing, construction, and service sectors.
  • Lead safety committee meetings, conduct facility assessments, and develop client-specific safety and health programs.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance at general industry and construction projects through hazard identification, training, and safety management system implementation.
  • Develop and implement systems to meet OSHA requirements, including compliance training and accident investigations.
  • Conduct OSHA/EPA/FMCSA/PHMSA compliance assessments and develop compliance calendars.
  • Develop safety and health programs and utilize the company's Assured Compliance Software (ACS) to manage client site EHS obligations.
  • Interpret standards and codes, manage client safety committees, and manage third-party contractor approval sites.
  • Support Colorado Cost Containment applications and program management.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1904, 1926, and 1910 regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations is a plus.
  • Organizational skills to allow the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • High level of motivation, strong writing skills, and self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to independently seek out resources, work collaboratively with the H&A team, and maintain confidentiality of all work information.
  • Familiarity with MS, Excel, Word, Google Apps, and Hubspot.
  • BS in Industrial Safety/Hygiene, risk control, or another related science discipline.
  • One to three years of experience in a health and/or safety position.
  • CHST certification is preferred.
