As a key member of our Trinity Consultants Engineering & EHS Workforce Solutions team, the EHS Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental health and safety, with experience in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct site orientations and awareness training for employees and contractors.
  • Investigate incidents and conduct root cause analysis to identify corrective actions.
  • Manage vendors and contractors to ensure EHS compliance.
  • Lead Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and conduct annual reviews of JHAs.
  • Participate in Pre-Start Up Reviews (PSSRs) and provide guidance on EHS matters.
  • Manage the Site Emergency Response Team and conduct training and drills.
  • Provide technical guidance to management on health-related issues and PPE use.
  • Assist the EHS Manager with reviewing and updating EHS procedures and manuals.
  • Lead the Safety Committee and escalate concerns to plant management.
  • Participate in extended EHS teams and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety or a related field with 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, or 7 years of relevant EHS experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 20 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
  • Effective communication skills.
