Position Summary:

We are currently in search of an Onsite Fabrication Supervisor. This role is pivotal in guiding, developing, and supporting Production Associates while consistently enhancing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics within the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  2. Meet operational targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis through effective planning, directing, controlling, implementing, evaluating, monitoring, and forecasting.
  3. Implement departmental quality initiatives aimed at minimizing scrap and rework.
  4. Maintain exemplary housekeeping and overall facility appearance.
  5. Assist in the creation, implementation, revision, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and job descriptions relevant to the facility.
  6. Reduce non-essential overtime.
  7. Collaborate with other supervisors to synchronize operations and activities across shifts.
  8. Manage performance documentation, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
  9. Oversee departmental activities to maximize efficiency and productivity through teamwork, education, and mentorship.
  10. Provide necessary training and support as required.
  11. Engage in and/or lead daily Gemba walks with Associates and management.
  12. Maintain operational data, including time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports reflecting production and utilization outcomes.
  13. Authorize time and attendance for payroll processing.
  14. Conduct daily audits of assigned work areas to ensure compliance with all standards and coordinate follow-up actions based on audit results.

Supervision:

This position reports directly to the Fabrication Manager/Superintendent.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in management is highly desirable.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven leadership skills, effective teamwork, and strong interpersonal abilities across all organizational levels.
  • Highly organized, motivated, and enthusiastic with a commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Capable of understanding, communicating, and enforcing company policies and standards.

  • Detail-oriented and hands-on approach.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical capabilities may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in non-climate-controlled environments for extended periods.
  • Primarily indoors.
