Job Summary

To assist operators in loading, unloading, and maintaining vacuum arc re-melt furnaces and welding equipment. The successful candidate will produce titanium metal to specifications at an acceptable production pace, while following all safety and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Assist operators in material handling and furnace maintenance
Load, unload, and transport materials and supplies to and from other areas
Clean and inspect welds, remove contaminants, and identify suitable stubs for fabrication
Fabricate electrodes by welding aligned compacts, sponge ends, and stubs, utilizing required tools and equipment
Perform minor maintenance and repairs to equipment, and assist maintenance employees in major maintenance and repairs

Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
Basic knowledge of welding and metal fabrication techniques
Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Working Conditions

Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises, heat, and hazardous materials
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Work at heights and in confined spaces
