About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Development Engineer to join our Building Service team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and enhancement of our service products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of new service products from concept through production.
- Utilize Bills of Material, DFMEAs, and other engineering tools to create detailed designs and specifications.
- Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate product performance, reliability, and safety.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, project managers, and engineering teams around the globe.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design reviews, test plans, and installation guides.
- Identify opportunities for product and process improvements, and implement changes to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide technical support to customers and field service teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in product development, preferably within the HVAC or building services industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), simulation-based testing, and other engineering tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
