About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated engineer to join our Building Services team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintenance projects, contributing to the enhancement of our service products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of quality improvement on current products
  • Work with offshore engineering teams to collaborate on engineering tasks and projects
  • Utilize Bills of Material, DFMEAs, and other engineering tools to create detailed designs and specifications
  • Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate product performance, reliability, and safety
  • Analyze test data and iterate designs, as necessary
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and improved quality
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, project managers, and engineering teams around the globe
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design reviews, test plans, and installation guides
  • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements
  • Implement changes to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Provide technical support to customers and field service teams
  • Address and resolve product-related issues and inquiries
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in product development, preferably within the HVAC or building services industry
  • Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), simulation-based testing, and other engineering tools
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to completion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and develop innovative solutions
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
