Position Overview

The Retail Merchandising Coordinator will enhance Suja Organic's product availability and visibility across designated retail locations in the Colorado region. This individual will serve as the brand authority, concentrating on our leading retail partners within the grocery sector. Key responsibilities include reducing out-of-stock instances, ensuring compliance with merchandising plans, optimizing product displays, and promoting additional placements to boost sales performance.

Core Responsibilities

Merchandising Tasks:
  • Conduct daily in-store merchandising visits to assigned retail accounts within the designated market area, focusing on account growth to realize the brand's full potential.
  • Enhance merchandising prospects, elevate brand visibility, and resolve out-of-stock issues in all assigned retail outlets.
  • Implement and activate strategic sales and marketing initiatives for Suja Organic; ensuring account strategies encompass promotions, displays, distribution availability, and execution of pricing and packaging plans that meet account goals.
  • Oversee Suja Organic's inventory levels at each site and communicate any potential issues to your internal and external support teams and sales partners.
Sales Activities:
  • Promote secondary placement opportunities at individual retail sites, utilizing tools provided by the company.
  • Analyze sales data and market insights to identify gaps and enhance overall market performance.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key retail leadership contacts in produce and operations to broaden reach within stores and maximize brand impact in each location and chain.
  • Participate actively in market-specific trade shows, partner training sessions, and similar events as required.
  • Develop effective communication and collaborative relationships with relevant sales partners such as distributors and broker teams.
Communication Responsibilities:
  • Effectively relay all achievements, opportunities, and challenges through weekly sales summaries and expand discussions as appropriate during regular check-ins and meetings.
  • Document daily activities using the company-provided CRM mobile application.
  • Comply with SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP standards while in the production facility.
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance.


Position Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred or a proven 5-year track record in selling consumer products in the relevant area.

Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook) and capable of learning proprietary software applications.

Language Proficiency: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Additional Skills: Must demonstrate internal motivation, high energy, resourcefulness, responsibility, flexibility, and outstanding organizational skills.

Other Abilities: Thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments. Capable of analyzing data and compiling sales information for buyers and store managers.

Key Business Contacts:

Regular interaction with corporate cross-functional partners, manufacturing team members, and the leadership team. Occasional contact with vendors.

Working Conditions:
Ability to work in a mobile environment and navigate assigned territory (extensive local travel with some overnight trips based on territory needs).

Physical Requirements:

Willingness and capability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, resetting displays, and installing glide racks. Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and have access to or ownership of a vehicle. The ideal candidate will reside in the Denver area. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

$28 - $31/HR DOE
