ROLE SUMMARY:

We are in search of a committed and collaborative Senior Manager of Post Production to oversee and manage all facets of the post-production process. This position entails not only executing technical editing tasks but also providing leadership and support to our talented team of Editors, Colorists, Sound Editors, and Composers. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in editing narrative films, a comprehensive understanding of post-production workflows, and exceptional time management skills, all while thriving in a dynamic production setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and implementing processes and workflows that enhance team performance, reduce production timelines, and lower post-production costs.
  • Overseeing post-production processes, budgets, and workflows, while collaborating with the team to uphold quality standards in branded storytelling.
  • Managing a high-volume pipeline of multiple concurrent projects at various stages of post-production.
  • Ensuring that departmental workloads and budgets are managed efficiently and accurately, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Assigning, scheduling, and monitoring all editing projects, anticipating post-production needs, and maintaining file organization.
  • Supporting both Production and Post Production teams to guarantee timely project deliveries.
  • Creating innovative solutions to workflow challenges to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Recruiting and hiring forward-thinking post-production talent to innovate our processes in a digital landscape.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all technical aspects of post-production, including editing, color grading, VFX, composing, and sound editing.
  • Significant experience managing budgets in low-budget environments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 5+ years of experience in a post-production management capacity.
  • Thorough understanding of production and post-production workflows, with a focus on driving efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Extensive proficiency with Premiere Pro, Adobe Suite, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Experience managing cloud storage and Frame IO accounts; familiarity with NAS servers is advantageous.
  • Ability to implement automation using off-the-shelf software or no-code solutions is a plus.
  • Interest in the evolving AI landscape and its applications in enhancing efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights and weekends, as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Willingness to take on diverse tasks as required.

SUPERVISION:

The Senior Manager of Post Production will report directly to the Production Director.

TEAM MANAGEMENT:

This role involves overseeing the Post Production Team alongside the Post Production Junior Manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Senior Manager of Post Production will operate from our production facilities and will be required to utilize time tracking software for logging work hours.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
