Job Title: Engine Technician

Stoke Inc is seeking a skilled Engine Technician to join our team. As an Engine Technician, you will be responsible for the precise and rapid building of a variety of engine components, including turbo machinery, injectors, thrust chambers, pressurized tube connections, and valves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precision assembly of Rocket Engine hardware, directed by both written and verbal instructions
  • Disassembly and inspection of tested components
  • Build planning, inventory kit organization, shortage identification, ordering of common stock items
  • Precision cleaning of hardware
  • Work area ownership, functional layout, daily maintenance and general cleaning
  • Detailed dimensional measurements and stack-up calculations
  • Identification of discrepancies, authoring of nonconformance reports, coordination with engineering on dispositions, detailed documentation of steps
  • Following of work orders for component builds; documentation of build steps for both new and re-occurring assembly sequences

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing environments
  • Assembly experience with Oxygen, Cryogenic, and FOD intolerant service components
  • Detailed understanding of fittings, threads, inserts, seals, and other sub-component parts
  • Proficient in working with delicate and high-value assemblies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts
  • Ability to work second shift and weekends as needed
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted
  • Able to stand for extended periods
  • Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
  • Valid driver's license

  • Level 2 range: $31 - $47/hour
  • Level 3 range: $38 - $57/hour
