Beverage Operations Supervisor

Job Overview

ROLE OBJECTIVE
To proficiently oversee and direct all beverage operations, ensuring the establishment is recognized as the premier bar in the area. Cultivates a skilled team of bartenders who consistently provide swift service and expertly crafted mixed drinks. Aims to deliver an outstanding Guest experience through responsible alcohol management. Manages beverage costs, production, labor, and ensures the highest quality of beverages. Enhances profitability by boosting sales through local marketing strategies that attract Guest traffic.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Local Marketing Initiatives
Drives revenue through the implementation of local marketing strategies as detailed in operational guidelines.
Identifies opportunities for operational improvements to increase sales and manage expenses; formulates and executes plans to capitalize on these opportunities.
Stays informed about competitors' beverage strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Collaborates with bartenders and key staff to promote local events and special offers.

Team Development
Recruits, trains, and mentors hourly Team Members through continuous feedback and coaching, establishing clear performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations.

Ensures all new hires complete their designated training program, including necessary documentation.

Cultivates talent and boosts team morale, setting a standard for professional conduct.
Maintains an accurate staffing plan and prepares schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.

Daily Operations
Manages bar operations during scheduled shifts, which includes decision-making, staff support, Guest engagement, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards of quality and cleanliness.

Proactively oversees shifts and anticipates Guest needs.

Frequently engages with Guests to guarantee they receive an exceptional service experience; addresses any concerns or complaints promptly.

Operational Standards
Ensures beverage quality by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of products.
Monitors bar operations closely and addresses any discrepancies immediately.
Takes responsibility for purchasing, receiving, and storing beverage products, ensuring proper inventory management to minimize waste and optimize costs.
Understands all bar equipment functions and maintenance requirements.

Ensures the bar and staff are well-prepared for each shift, covering everything from product availability to ambiance.

In the absence of upper management, assumes responsibility for the overall operation of the establishment.
Implements security measures to safeguard Team Members, Guests, and company assets.

QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent coursework
Minimum of 6 months in restaurant management
At least 2 years of bar experience with extensive knowledge of operations
Previous experience in purchasing and production
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours)
Frequent bending and lifting required
Must be proficient in English
Ability to hear in a loud environment
