Position Overview

The Training Coordinator will collaborate with a dedicated team to oversee, facilitate, and manage the execution of training programs for foster care providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee, facilitate, and manage training sessions for foster care providers.
  • Work in partnership with State Licensing Unit and private licensing organizations to address statewide training requirements for foster care providers and related child welfare professionals.
  • Identify and engage trainers, negotiate contract terms, and provide comprehensive support to contracted trainers.
  • Organize, coordinate, and conduct monthly virtual training sessions for foster care providers and related child welfare professionals.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the Fall and Spring Foster Care Festival of Training.
  • Participate in CFSTC foster care training meetings as requested by the CFSTC Director.
  • Provide the CFSTC Director with written monthly updates on project activities for grant reporting purposes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in social work.
  • Licensed to practice social work in North Dakota or eligible for licensure.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in child welfare services, specifically in licensing or training foster care providers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.

In accordance with federal regulations, all individuals hired will be required to verify their identity and eligibility to work in the US and complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a training role.
  • Familiarity with the North Dakota human service system, as this position will interact extensively with state and Human Service Zone personnel, along with non-profit human service providers.
  • Master's degree in social work with three years of experience in child welfare services.
