Job Description

As a Commercial Sales Representative for Overhead Door Co, you will be responsible for selling commercial products to contractors, store, showroom, or customer's place of business. You will call on purchasing agents and/or superintendents of existing and potential contractors, and travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective commercial customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell commercial products to contractors, store, showroom, or customer's place of business
  • Call on purchasing agents and/or superintendents of existing and potential contractors
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective commercial customers
  • Display or demonstrate commercial products, using samples and/or brochures, and emphasize selling features
  • Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for commercial orders obtained
  • Maintain the quote log and other sales activity reporting as required
  • Read blueprints/scopes of work in order to quote jobs
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules
  • Assist in collecting monies due from customers who have exceeded their credit terms
  • Perform on-site inspections of jobs scheduled (pre-site inspection) prior to the installation date, during work and follow-up
  • Participate in trade shows
Qualifications:
  • 3-6 years Outside Sales experience, door industry preferred
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • College experience preferred
