Job Title: Executive Chef

Job Summary:

Thomas Cuisine is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in a Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the kitchen, implementing production processes, and managing food and labor costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Implement production processes to ensure efficient and effective food production.
  • Manage food and labor costs to ensure profitability and quality.
  • Develop and implement systematic production methods, standardized recipes, and portion control.
  • Develop and implement menu development and purchasing requirements.
  • Comply with all client policies and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Services Technology/Management, or related field; or A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience.
  • Minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
  • Extensive catering experience a plus.
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable.
  • Scratch cooking experiences.
  • Hands-on chef experience a must.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail, and the Internet.
  • Must be willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities.
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable.
  • Must be able to successfully complete criminal background checks (State and Federal) and drug screenings.
