Job Summary

Noblis MSD is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to support the US Navy by providing installation and testing support, development of simulation equipment, and system setups/tests in both a lab environment and US Navy shipboard systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform software and hardware testing while developing and following test procedures.
  • Use test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters electronic bridges, loop calibrators) and hand tools (i.e. drills, screwdrivers) in a electronics lab environment.
  • Develop and improve internal procedures, templates, standards, and other documents that are clear, have the correct level of detail and are easy to follow.
  • Assess and perform industry standard test methods, as well as custom test methods for industrial automation systems and machinery control systems.
  • Develop and perform software tests, typically focusing on: Integration Testing, System Testing, Performance Testing, and Usability Testing.
  • Communicate directly with software developers to understand the software requirements for the purposes of developing tests.
  • Thoroughly document bugs discovered during testing and make recommendations to developers on product improvements where necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to improve operational efficiency and test coverage.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required and 1-3 years of experience in electrical or computer engineering; or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of industrial control systems.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams.
  • Proficiency in the use of test and diagnostic tools associated with industrial control systems troubleshooting.
Desired Qualifications
  • CompTIA Sec+ Certification.
