Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dietetic Technician to join our team at United Hospital Center. As a key member of our nutrition department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nutrition screens and assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with registered dietitians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient information and care plans in accordance with hospital and departmental standards.
  • Participate in the training and education of dietetic interns and other staff members to promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of nutrition education programs and materials for patients and their families.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including scheduling, data entry, and record-keeping, to support the efficient operation of the nutrition department.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an accredited dietetic technician program.
  • Registered Nutrition and Dietetic Technician (NDTR) certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply nutrition-related data and research.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
