Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dietetic Technician to join our team at United Hospital Center. As a key member of our nutrition department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nutrition screens and assessments to identify patients at risk
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with registered dietitians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on healthy eating habits and nutrition
  • Accurately document patient information and progress in electronic medical records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an accredited dietetic technician program
  • Registered Nutrition and Dietetic Technician (NDTR) certification within 6 months of hire
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered Nutrition and Dietetic Technician with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from an accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics
  • Membership to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
