Job Title: Patient Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Representative to join our team at Midstate Radiology Associates. As the face of our imaging department, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients, relatives, and medical staff while maintaining the confidentiality of patient records.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Greet patients and ensure a timely and accurate patient flow through the system.
  2. Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance data, and obtain necessary signatures for scheduled procedures.
  3. Perform insurance verification processes and schedule radiology exams, preparing all required paperwork for efficient service.
  4. Interact with other departments, carriers, and physician offices to acquire accurate demographic and insurance information.
  5. Answer phones with a professional greeting and transfer calls as needed.
  6. Provide reports and images on CD to patients or physician's offices.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of customer service experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and medical staff.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and understand and follow specifications and instructions.
Physical Demands:
  • Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds in all directions.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
