Vendor Management Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead vendor management and governance activities. This role involves coordinating governance and steering committee meetings, tracking escalations, analyzing root causes of vendor-related issues, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive resolutions.

You will develop and monitor key performance and risk indicators (KPIs/KRIs), manage vendor oversight systems, and maintain essential documentation. Additionally, you will support the creation and review of vendor management policies, contribute to team projects, and foster strong vendor relationships to ensure high-performance partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, prepare, and coordinate governance meetings and steering committee meetings for a defined subset of vendors.
  • Track escalations, help analyze root causes of issues, and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and vendors toward resolutions.
  • Support the creation of vendor KPIs and KRIs and work cross-functionally on tracking vendor performance.
  • Maintain vendor management system (Gatekeeper), vendor trackers, and vendor oversight documentation.
  • Responsible for TMF filing of vendor oversight documents.
  • Manage vendor scorecard review process.
  • Create presentations, reports, and metrics as needed.
  • Support the development, implementation, and review of vendor management policies, procedures, templates, and metrics.
  • Build partnerships with vendors.
  • Provide support for team projects.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in either vendor management or contracts preferred.
  • Proven experience managing vendors by maintaining data and proper oversight.
  • Knowledge and/or experience resolving escalations, reviewing contracts, and tracking metrics that effectively capture proper vendor oversight.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven customer focus and solid interpersonal and communications skills, including written and spoken English.
  • Ability to quickly and consistently establish relationships to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and service providers.
  • Ability to manage software, including but not limited to a Vendor and Contracts Management system (Gatekeeper), advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Travel may be required.
