Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will undertake essential store operational tasks, which include:
- Providing exceptional customer service and assistance to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Efficiently managing point-of-sale systems to ensure accurate transactions.
- Encouraging participation in customer loyalty programs, including sign-ups and reward processing.
- Contributing to the freight flow process, which involves unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and maintaining merchandise presentation.
- Assisting in the operations of the furniture department, including carry-outs and display assembly.
- Upholding the store's interior and exterior appearance to meet company standards, including light maintenance and cleaning duties.
- Performing daily maintenance tasks at the front end, such as ensuring cleanliness at check stands and replenishing merchandise.
- Executing additional tasks as assigned by store leadership, including cart retrieval and safety-related responsibilities.
- Taking on the role of Manager on Duty as needed, providing leadership and guidance to floor associates, and ensuring adherence to merchandising and customer service standards.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience in retail leadership is preferred.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds, as well as perform physical tasks such as unloading freight and moving products.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic proficiency in English, mathematics, and computer skills is required.
