About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transit Operations Director to lead our daily transit services, supervising and supporting our dedicated operations team. As the backbone of our transit services, you will ensure that all public transit activities are executed with precision, keeping our company's goals and the needs of our passengers at the forefront.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership: Supervise and support employees performing daily operations, ensuring they have the tools, training, and motivation to succeed.
  2. Master Planning: Oversee the staffing levels along with scheduling and coordination of public transit services, ensuring routes run on time and adapt to changing needs.
  3. Operations Strategy: Plan, implement, and manage operational activities in alignment with our company's strategic goals, keeping efficiency and quality at the forefront.
  4. Problem Solving: Address operational challenges as they arise, coordinating with maintenance, customer service, and other departments to find swift, effective solutions.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure we're meeting and exceeding service standards, adjusting plans as necessary.
  6. Customer Focus: Maintain a focus on delivering exceptional service to passengers, working to ensure their experience is seamless, reliable, and safe.
  7. Safety Advocacy: Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety across the team.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Leader: You have (3) years of experience in operations management, preferably in public transit, logistics, or a similar field.
