Role Overview:
As a Manufacturing Support Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a continuous workflow for our technicians.

Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with the Manufacturing, Operations, and Assembly teams to manage the flow of components to workstations, addressing requests for replacement or additional parts, and facilitating the movement of parts and completed assemblies to either inventory or the next assembly stage.

This is a hands-on role that demands exceptional communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Production Control to effectively manage the flow of materials to manufacturing work centers.
- Reconcile discrepancies between parts and request lists; coordinate with Production Control for replacements or spare requests as needed.
- Facilitate interdepartmental coordination with warehouse, quality inspection, non-conformance review board, purchasing, and logistics.
- Schedule and expedite the movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
- Work cross-functionally to address material shortages in collaboration with Production Control and other production areas.
- Continuously monitor and respond to technician part requirements, including replacements for non-conforming parts and delivery of essential supplies.
- Understand and adhere to part transportation requirements outlined in work orders.
- Monitor job flow and velocity through the production line, partnering with Production Control to ensure timely completion of work.
- Track the disposition of MRB and stranded materials, entering transactions in the ERP system.
- Process scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as necessary.
- Prepare for and assist in cycle count reconciliations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of backflush and Kanban processes.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, follow directions, and execute tasks promptly while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Identify, catalog, and report manufacturing delays and necessary resolutions to Operations Supervisors and Managers.
- Uphold safe material handling practices rigorously.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain management.
- Familiarity with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and/or inventory control applications.
- Experience in planning and scheduling activities.
- Proven ability to work within a cross-functional team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement concepts.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, with physical activities including lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying as required for this role.
- Willingness to operate powered lifting equipment.
