Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will provide high-quality care to our furry patients and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and injuries in pets
- Ensure the safety of pets, clients, and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques and maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas
- Obtain relevant information and history from clients and maintain proper and complete medical records
- Educate clients about preventative care, pet health needs, and any diagnosis or treatment
- Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service, including prescribing and administering preventative care for the wellness needs of pets
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
- License in good standing with the applicable state veterinary board
- License with the Drug Enforcement Agency
- Proven ability to perform all basic surgeries, including use of all standard medical instruments and equipment
