Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Estrella Veterinary Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner. As a vital member of our medical team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Support veterinarians in providing high-quality care, advocating for pets, and educating clients.
- Assist with surgeries, procedures, and laboratory tests, ensuring compliance with state Veterinary Practice Acts.
- Communicate effectively with clients about pet health concerns, offering guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, utilizing practice systems to ensure seamless care.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients, updating medical charts as needed.
- Employ safe restraining techniques, adhere to standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to fellow team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Outgoing and personable, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Empathetic and compassionate, with a strong ability to connect with clients and their pets.
- At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital, with a CA RVT license or active pursuit of licensure.
- Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology, with the ability to handle, lift, and restrain animals safely.
- Ability to perform veterinary medical procedures, including venipuncture, radiology, and drug calculations.
- Basic organizational and computer skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
