Position Summary:

The HVAC Technician at Encore Boston Harbor is tasked with the critical role of diagnosing and repairing various HVAC systems, including heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and building automation systems. Qualifications:

Requirements:
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • HVAC License and EPA 608 certification are required.
  • Preferred: Massachusetts Refrigeration License and valid Massachusetts Driver License.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of refrigeration experience is necessary.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with large tonnage chillers and data center chillers is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools, testing equipment, and safety guidelines is essential.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and communicate effectively in English. A second language is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including lifting up to 70 pounds and working in various environmental conditions.

Work Environment:
The work environment may vary, including exposure to moderate to loud noise levels and varying weather conditions. Proper safety precautions and personal protective equipment must be utilized.
