Job SummaryThis position requires a candidate with an analytical mindset and a commitment to ethical, user-centric, data-driven development. The individual should be able to approach problems from different angles to address key business questions and guide important development and design decisions.
The role places strong emphasis on database administration and data analysis, with some involvement in data engineering and DataOps. The right candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing organizational databases, turning data into actionable insights, and assisting in maintaining data infrastructure.
Responsibilities and ContributionsOrganizational and Leadership Role:
- Leads by example and coaches others directly
- Works closely with SMEs to interpret the results of data

Functional Role:
- Installs, configures, and maintains SQL-based database systems
- Ensures database security and compliance with data regulations
- Performs backups, recovery, and data integrity checks
- Troubleshoots database issues and provides technical support
- Documents database configurations and generates performance reports
- Interprets data and analyzes results using statistical techniques with tools like Power BI and SQL
- Develops and implements databases, data collection systems, and analytics strategies
- Acquires data from primary or secondary sources and maintains data systems
- Provides reports and visualizations to present insights comprehensibly to stakeholders
- Assists in developing data processing systems using Databricks and Python
- Supports data architecture design for data acquisition and transformation
- Supports the implementation of data flow and real-time processing solutions
- Analyzes data to answer questions across a variety of domains
- Produces data visualizations that tell a story with data
- Creates and maintains dashboards to inform key stakeholders
- Prepares reports that identify trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
- Documents procedures and methodology used in analysis
- Prepares data for analysis
